Who controls the present controls the present – and nothing but the present. The future is up for grabs!
Nightminster is from the backstreets of what remains of London. The city was ruined by the so-called Glorious Resolution, an economic catastrophe that took down the modern world about thirty years previously. He prowls this dangerous wilderness looking for relics he can sell to the rich. Other people see him as just a scavenger, a lout and a punk. Yet his ambitions are extravagant. He dreams of building an atomic power plant to revive the old city into a new era of light and plenty.
There’s another young man in London intent on power. Like Nightminster, he is dismissed as a lout and a punk, a hooligan even. His plans are extravagant too. He’s going to lead Britain back to the comfortable world of suburbia, cars and holidays in the sun. However, his methods don’t involve atomic power plants. He believes in violence.
They are bound to clash. When it happens, the consequences are public and very bloody. Neither grasps they have locked into a deadly rivalry that will wreak disaster on a whole society.
But they do know the ancient rule of power – only one of them will win.
Sovereigns of the Storm is a three-book dystopian saga of love, triumph and tragedy in an age when only might is right. It includes adult themes and is not suitable for those under 16 years of age.
